Ridgeline Builders

Stone and blackened timber at altitude, hidden behind a 240 MB PDF and a pixelated logo.

Ridgeline Builders is an illustrative firm - a concept redesign built to show the approach, not a past client. Your project would be your own work, start to finish.

At a glance

The same firm. One of these is losing them the work.

As we found it

Their website, in full - and everything working against them.

  1. 1

    Logo pixelated at 2×

The logo is a small bitmap stretched to fit. On any modern screen it breaks apart.

  2. 2

    An award with no name

“Award-winning” is stamped in the header and the hero. No award is ever named, dated, or linked.

  3. 3

Portfolio is a 240 MB PDF

To see the work you download a PDF that stalls on a phone and never opens on the first try.

What changed

Three decisions, and nothing more than needed.

  1. 01

The award claim comes down until there is one to name.

  2. 02

The portfolio is the page itself - no download, no wait, no dead end.

  3. 03

The logo is drawn as vector. It stays sharp at any size, on any screen.

The redesign

The same firm, built to look like the work.
